Train Options – Travel FREE!
AVOID THE TRAFFIC & PARKING HASSLES! BUY YOUR TICKET ONLINE AND TRAVEL FREE TO/FROM BRISBANE SHOWGROUNDS from any station on the Queensland Rail Citytrain Network including north from Gympie, west from Rosewood, south from Varsity Lakes and all Brisbane stations to either Roma Street, Central or Fortitude Valley Railway Stations. Then connect to the Show Train (loop service) that goes direct to the Brisbane Showgrounds. Your return journey home will be loop service back to either of these stations from the Brisbane Showgrounds for your return journey home. NOTE: Free train travel does not apply to the AIRTRAIN travelling between the Airport and Eagle Junction Station. Please make sure you list the number of children travelling with you so that a ticket will be generated for each child. Gregory Terrace will be closed to all traffic. Construction work within the Showgrounds and nearby precincts has resulted in very limited parking available. This is something over which the Caravan Show organisers have no control whatsoever.
Brisbane Showgrounds have an area set aside for Disabled Parking. Enter the grounds from O’Connell Terrace via Brooke Street and advise the car park attendant of your needs. They will then direct you to the Disabled Parking area.
The closest parking options available are:
Brisbane Showgrounds: Enter off Brooke Street. Cost is $13 per vehicle per day. Cash or card at the carpark entry gate. Limited availability. This car park is expected to be full prior to 9am each day.
King Street (upper level): Enter via Machinery Street only.

Victoria Park: Brisbane City Council’s Victoria Park off Gilchrist Avenue, off Herston Road near Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital (RBWH). Cost is $10 per vehicle per day. Approximately 600 spaces.
Secure Park Valley Metro: Located above Brunswick Street Station, enter from Alfred or Alden Street, Fortitude Valley. It is a short 5 minute walk to the Showgrounds (via St Pauls Terrace). $5 weekend and $20 Monday to Friday day rates. 1.9m height clearance. 842 spaces. Getting to Brisbane Showgrounds by Car
Brisbane Showgrounds is located 3.2km north east of Brisbane’s CBD on Gregory Terrace at Bowen Hills. It is a 20-minute drive from the airport or 10 minutes from the CBD.
Best parking option is Victoria Park parking which is a 7 minute walk to Brisbane Showgrounds located off Gilchrist Avenue in Herston. Click on the image below to see a map of Victoria Park parking.
Driving from the South (eg Logan, Gold Coast, NSW) to Victoria Park Parking
Option 1: Proceed onto the Pacific Motorway/M1 following the signs north to Brisbane. Follow Pacific Motorway and M3 to Gilchrist Avenue in Herston. Take the Herston Road exit from M3. Turn left and keep left onto Gilchrist Avenue and the entry for parking will be on your left. If using GPS (Satellitie navigation) The best road is Gilchrist Avenue, Herston 4006.
Option 2 (Toll): Proceed onto the Pacific Motorway/M1 following the signs north to Brisbane. Follow Pacific Motorway and M3, take exit 4 towards M7/Clem Jones Tunnel/Brisbane Airport/Sunshine Coast and Continue onto M7. Take the State Route 15 exit. Keep left following signs for Bowen Bridge Road/State Route 15 and merge onto Bowen Bridge Road. Merge onto Bowen Bridge road and Turn right onto Gilchrist Avenue. Keep left to stay on Gilchrist Avenue and the entry for parking will be on your left. If using GPS (Satellite navigation)
Driving from the North (eg Sunshine Coast, Bribie Island, Gympie, Bundaberg) to Victoria Park Parking
Proceed on to the M1 heading South towards Brisbane, then head towards Brisbane following the Gympie Arterial Road/M3. Continue on Gympie Road/A3 which will lead you onto the Lutwyche Road/A3. Keep right to continue on Bowen Bridge Road/State Route 15. Turn right onto Gilchrist Avenue. Keep left to stay on Gilchrist Avenue and the entry for parking will be on your left. Driving from the West (eg Ipswich, Toowoomba) to Victoria Park Parking
Proceed on the Cunningham Highway/National Highway 15 in Raceview from State Route 39. Continue on National Highway 15. Take M5 to Mount Coot Tha Road/Metroad 5 in Mount Coot-Tha. Take the exit for Mount Coot-Tha Road from M5. Proceed to Hale St/M3 in Milton. Follow M3 to Gilchrist Avenue in Herston. Take the Herston Road exit from M3.
